    I would like to know what are the possible contexs that the expression labor of love can be used.

    You can use it wherever you are noting an action that is done without recompense being expected:

    Painting his house in the vacation was a labour of love.

    Taking the whole class to see the film was a labour of love.

    The concept is that you do something because you feel it is the right thing to do - what other people think is of no importance. A labour of love may impress someone, but that should not be its purpose.
