    why there is the Second World War and only First world war without the?

    Both usually take "the".

    Can you give an example of "First World War" without it in a sentence ?

    First World War weapons were not as advanced as modern ones.

    Second World War weapons were more advanced than First World War examples.

    These are "adjectival phrases" describing weapons.

    As events in their own right, they need the article.
