    Are the words correctly used?

One night, Mr Koh was sleeping soundly when his dog went into his room and started barking. This woke him up. He followed the dog to where he led him.

Are the words in bold correctly used?

    Thanks in advance.

    It's clumsy phrasing IMO.

It seems a bit repetitious- the follow/lead combination. Could you just say 'he followed the dog out'?

Re: Are the words correctly used?

    Hi Tdol

    Below is more context.

If I use 'follow the dog out' instead of the underlined word, does it sound fine?

One night, Mr Koh was sleeping soundly when his dog went into his room and started barking. This woke him up. He followedthe dog to where she led him.

Mr Koh was shocked to see his window curtain burning. He quickly ran to the kitchen to fetch a big pail of water. He quickly splashed the water onto the curtain. The fire was soon put out.

    Thanks in advance.

He followed the dog to where she led him.

Would it not be clearer to say "He followed the dog which led him to the .... room where the window curtain was in flames"?

Thanks, Anglika, your version is better. I will alter using your phrase.
