Exclamation Describing people and relationship 2 (FCE, article)

Well, I look at my previous article more carefully and decided to rewrite it. Could you please correct it? Thank you very much!

Write and tell us what you think makes a good friend. The winning article will be published in our international magazine, Now!, and the winner receive a prize of $500.

    Qualities of friends

From early childhood to death we are surrounded by friends but what qualities should a person have to be a true friend? In my opinion, the most important values are loyalty, honesty and sense of humor.

Loyalty is one of the most significant aspects of friendship. When times become hard most people try to avoid you except for loyal friends who are supportive and dependable. Although many people can call themselves your friends, few of them can be trusted, so if you have found them, appreciate it.

Another essential quality is honesty. Nobody wants to have dishonest friends who lie all the time. We expect to hear the truth, even if it can hurt our feelings. Painful but truthful advice is better than white lie.

Life is too short to listen to endless complaints and get bored to death, so creative, cheerful people with good sense of humor who can make our life lighter and cheer us up are more significant for us.

It does not matter what your friends’ qualities are, because it depends on people but if your friends are like a twin brother or sister and you rely on them, you are a happy man.

In conclusion, although these qualities help to establish a strong relationship, friendship itself is weak and can be broken by jealousy, money or revenge, so if you have true friends, try to save them.
