    what is the difference between the two sentences by the use of the exclmation mark ?

    Please give our love to your family. / Please give our love to your family !

    In a social exchange, nothing particular. It is an attempt to make a simple statement more emphatic.

    is correct to say that an exclamation mark puts the emphasis on the last word of a sentence ? so in the sentence : Please give our love to your folks! the emphasis would be on folks.

    No. It is an indication of tone - in this context, enthusiasm - just as a question mark indicates that the voice will rise at the end of a sentence that is a question.
