    Default see / meet

I know the verbs see and meet are used in the sense of be with someone. Meet a person. Is there any difference between them when they are used to meet someone?

    thanks

In colloquial English, "see" is used as a general indication that you will get together at some time. "'bye, now. See you soon." "Hope to see you."

"Meet" is precise - "We will meet soon"

Anglika's comment probably answers your question, if what you want is words for setting up a meeting. But if you have a sexual* relationship with someone you may say things like 'I've been seeing her for three months'. (Meet doesn't work so well here.)
