    Default humanity

I wonder if the " humanity" is the right word in the following sentece.

As technology develops quicly, people will lose humanity in the future. Accordingly, our society will be drier than now.

( Also, if you see any problems, pleae let me have your comments. Thanks in advance)

Humanity is not the right word. I'm not sure how to reword your sentence. Sorry.

I think it can be used, in this sense -
noun (pl. humanities) 1 humankind. 2 the condition of being human. 3 compassion or benevolence

The first sentence is fine. I would reword the second one: Accordingly, society will become harder than it is now.
