    Cool To lace

    Please, what does to lace mean exactly in following sentence:

    Some context: Someone has ripped up a photo of Veronica's daughter being seen by Adriana.

    Sentence is: "Adriana picks up the torn pieces and laces them slowly into Veronica's hand."
