    will/would appreciate

    I will/would appreciate any corrections to my posts.

    I think it should be 'would'. If so, could somebody explain why it should be "I would appreciate ... "

    Would is more polite because it is conditional upon the speaker's self-assessed ability or the listener's presumed willingness:

    I would appreciate any corrections [if anyone is willing to correct me].
    .
