    I can't understand what "landing grounds" (Churchill's speech) mean. can you explain that to me, please?

    "Landing grounds" - airfields, but not the temporary ones in France. The permanent ones in Britain. Churchill is talking about last ditch defence if the Germans succeeded in invading.
