    talking in sleep

Last night my husband was talking in his sleep. He kept saying a word over and over. It sounded as if he was working on a crossword puzzle. I told myself not to forget it because I thought it was so funny, but of course I cannot remember what the word was. It started with an "S" and for some reason I thought it related to something when you read...not the introduction, prelude, but something like that. Is there a word that begins with the letter "S" that may relate to reading something?

The only thing that comes to my mind is ''subvocalisation''.
    You should've written it down!!!

If this is not the word, try to remember anything else that might help...
