    Object or subject pronouns?

    Hi!!

I have a doubt, in the sentence "This year I and my friends went to..."
I think the proper (grammatical) way is to use the personal pronouns since
it's "I and my friends" (of course, it could be WE too) who performed the action.

Nevertheless, I've heard sometimes people saying "me and my friends went to ..."

I know that an uneducated speaker or a person in normal everyday speech could use the object pronuns to fill the subject slot in the sentence.

But the proper sentence would be the one with the personal pronouns...
    right?

    Thanks in advance

    Correct.

Usually, though, we would say "my friends and I went to" - a convention that puts the other person/people into prominence.

Well, actually you have to say "my friends and I went to..."
