    difference

What is the difference of generalization betwee absoulute comaparative and ordinary one?

The naughtier students were unlikely to succeed (absolute comparative),
Naughty students were unlikely to sccceed(generalization).

The naughty students were unlikely to succeed ( a particular group).

    Re: difference

    Two opposite groups are compared
The naughtier students were unlikely to succeed.

    Naughty students in general
Naughty students were unlikely to sccceed

Specifically this group of naughty students
The naughty students were unlikely to succeed.

    Does that help?
