    gerund

    1-His dancing the tango was good.
    2-His dancing of the tango was good.

    Which sentence corresponds to a and which to b:
    a-The fact that he danced the tango was good.
    b-The way he danced the tango (his style) was good.

    In my view:

    1 -> a

    2 -> b

    I'm not a teacher, so please consider any advice I give in that context.
