He complained about having been treated lightly
My motocycle need being repaired
In the first sentence, you've simply changed the preposition "of" to the preposition "about." You can look up the definitions of the prepositions, but they both work very well.
In the second sentence, "being repaired" is commonly used to form a progressive verb tense in passive voice: My bike is being repaired. (present progressive tense in passive voice). [anyone feel free to jump in here at any time! LOL]
Now, you've chosen to use the verb need(s), "my bike needs." The object of the verb could be repair (noun) or repairing (gerund): My bike needs repair or my bike needs repairing.
Technically, you can defend BEING REPAIRED, as well. My bike needs being, being SOMETHING, like being repaired by a mechanic. It sounds a little awkward, but it would be like saying, "My bike needs fixing." In this sense, "being" is used as a gerund and not as a helping verb to form a progressive tense.
I like being me. He needs being away. He hates being corrected. My bike needs being repaired. Yeah, in a long about way, it does work for me.
