Re: Attend summer camp or join summer camp?

I'd use 'attend' (or 'go to'), and 'start at' to refer to the first few days. But you should wait for a few American replies. 'Summer camp' is more of an American phenomenon.

You join the Boy Scouts. (become a member of)
You attend summer camp. (go to/stay at for the duration)
