- For Teachers
I have a small disagreement with a colleague about the correct use of English in the following example. We work in computing and when programs are worked on, they are stored in a version control system; I was recently asked to write a program which shows the data from the version control system and display it in a user-friendly way.
When a program is "checked in" to the version control system, it is stamped with a date. The issue surronds the title of the column to display that date - I say it should be "Check-In Date", she says it should be "Checked-In Date" - who is correct (or does it not matter which is used)?
