    Default relative clause

”Each of these sets of categories, each of these ways that people construct who they are and what they believe, is increasingly chimerical“

Just want to check with you. the "that clause" (that people construct who they are and what they believe) also modifies the first "each of these sets of categories". In other words, both "each of" phrases are related to that clause. Thanks.

Yes, the ways refers to the sets of categories. You have a relative clause embedded in an appositive phrase, so it refers to both the appositive (the ways) and its antecedent (the sets of categories).
