    get to be

    How did you get to be a belly dancer?

    I think this sentence means, "How did you become a belly dancer".

    Am I right?

    Please help me

    (2) I get to be the exam successfully.

    I get to be the exam successfully.

    I thought, get to be = manage to overcome something, or become

    So, by this sentence, I meant that I managed to pass the exam successfully.

    But, now I think I am wrong.

    You are, but you have said what you need to say perfectly in : I managed to pass the exam successfully.
