    Question why dont we understand englısh ıdıoms or the other languages ıdıoms?

    hey all

    ı wanna ask somethıng to u why ı dont understand when ı read englısh ıdıoms maybe ıt use these ıdıoms only by englısh people or ı m wrong .ı dont know maybe u can say me why ...!!!

    An idiom by definition consists of words whose meaning is not the sum of the dictionary definitions of the individual words, so they are not clear in meaning. They can also involve a lot of cultural aspects, coming from various areas of life, which means that a learner may not have the cultural knowledge as well.
