    Meaning of the sentence (palm-off)

    Could you please explain to me all meaning of 'palm-off' with examples?

    To palm something off (it's not hyphenated) means to trick someone (examples at link). I've also heard it used in the sense of unjustly transferring a burden---"You're the one who volunteered to bake two hundred cupcakes for the bake sale. Don't you try to palm that job off on me!"
