    Smile symbols

    Hi everyone
    Please I want a list of symbols which are used mainly in literature in analysing poetry,fiction or drama.
    eg: sun means reason,truth,light...
    I hope you have understood what I mean

    Before this thread I googled but all the sites don't give me what I wanted to know that's why I'm asking Tdol because he knows how to search

    I understand, and does the list have to be free? The reason I ask, there's a fabulous book, and it's not free, here, and you can download it here. It's the cheapest one. This site, A Dictionary of Literary Symbols - The Free Download eBooks Engine!, says you can download the book for free, but I haven't checked that out. To do so I would have to download the book, and I don't have the time nor space. Sorry.

    There is also the site below that you can look through and decide if it might help:
