    Capitalization

    Would 'son' be capitalized in the following sentence (father speaking to his son)?

    "I only want the best for you, Son."

    I think not. "Son" is not a proper noun(names of a particular person, thing or place) therefore it shouldn't be capitalized.

    "I only want the best for you, son."
