    what is the difference between present perfect and perfect continious

    For actions:
    present perfect simle- finished but connected to now
    present perfect continuous- unfinished

    For states:
    present perfect simple-unfinished but long-term
    present perfect continuous- unfished but short-term

    These are not all inclusive definitions, but they do cover a lot of bases.
