Is anyone aware of the phrase: Irish Exit?
My understanding is that it is an idiom used to describe the situation where someone is out drinking with friends and then leaves without saying goodbye. (He made an Irish exit!") Presumably the implication is that due to intoxication, the person left the pub abruptly.
