    Default inflation-busting

what does "inflation-busting" mean? does it mean price increases which has something to do with inflation? here's some examples:

Since the Bank of England cut the base rate in August and lenders followed suit by slashing interest rates, it has been a struggle for savers to find inflation-busting accounts

Inflation-busting price hikes on top of already high fares will make for an unhappy passenger new year.

It looks like the Government has decided to collude with the train companies to tackle overcrowding with inflation-busting rises that will force people off the rail network

    thanks a lot!

    Welcome to the forums!

It means to break the spiralling effects of inflation by vigorous action in financial controls.
