    Question Abbreviation of EXAMPLE

Please, what's the correct abbreviation for 'example'?
    'Ex.', 'Ex:' or 'e.g.'?

    Re: Abbreviation of EXAMPLE

"e.g." would be the normal abbreviated way of saying "here is an example". Perhaps you can give us a couple of sentences showing how you want to use this.

    Re: Abbreviation of EXAMPLE

The abbreviation e.g. is actually for the Latin phrase "exempli gratia" which means "for the sake of example." So basically it is "e.g." because it is based on the Latin phrase.
