    double

I need help with grammar. Is it okay to say " In NewYork it takes double the amount of money to live than Los Angeles." or should I say " It's doubly expensive to live in New York than Los Angeles."

Does it sound okay if I say " It takes doouble the money to live in New York than L.A." Is it okay? Should I say double or twice?

It seems fine to me - if you use twice, it will be "...twice as much money to live in New York...
