    Question as (it) should be...

"The examples in their paper do not show the exact fit, as it should be due to the formula (10)."

I have two questions concerning this sentence:
    1. Shouldn't it be "as should be ..." instead of "as it should be"?
    2. Is this "due to" really idiomatic in this usage?

    Thanks,

    No - the exact fit [as it{{=exact fit}} should be][due to][the formula]

    2. Is this "due to" really idiomatic in this usage? Yes
