    Natural way?

    Hi,

If I give teaching classes somewhere and can’t go some day for some reason, but want to compensate the hours by putting the lecture off until the coming Monday (Monday is my day-off.), is it correct and natural to say, “Sorry, Today’s class will not occur.I would like to postpone it until the coming Monday. I’ve got to go somewhere else.”?

Please let me know, If you have a more natural way of converying the same information.

    Great regards,
    Asad

Sounds fine. You could also say,
Today's class will be cancelled and the lesson/lecture postponed until Monday.

Can I say "Today's class will also be cancelled and the lesson/lecture postponed until Saturday."?

I generally see something like that on the notice board.I hope you would like it.

Please note that due to the absence of teacher, there will be NO class today.

Instead, this has been rescheduled to Monday 15th September in room xx, from 12 noon - 1 pm.

I apologise for any inconvenience caused.
