    Hi there!!
    I suppose you mean balancing right?

    To balance contrasting ideas means to make your ideas/arguments have the same strenght or importance. For example, when writing a for and against essay your arguments should be carefully balanced in order to give your readers a full and objective picture of the issue you are talking about.
