Out of 130 visitors of this thread only 10 voted, 9 of who voted for one of yes-options. I am afraid most of those who didn't vote despite reading the post are not great fans of poetry. I am waiting for more votes!

I am sad... We have just 12 votes for this poll even though it was viewed almost 300 times and replied 14 times! I think the main reason for this is that people do not care about poetry, a sad, very sad thing to say...

    Nyggus , sad this time

I've voted in your poll Nyggus. Don't be sad now, I know the votes will still increase in time. How about advertising your poll or your poetry here...
I know your such a poet yourself. why not show us some of your poems. That may attract people to this poll, I think.

Actually, I've never written any poem in English. I am rather eager to learn if people read poetry or not, and I am not going to claim that if one reads poetry or not is good or bad or that is says something about this person. Not at all. I just want to know the general tendency of contemporary human towards this. And I don't care if this is poetry in English or in any other language.

    Thanks!

I believe they do. Song lyrics can be, I think, classified as poetry. This is my personal opinion though, and I am pretty sure some would say that it depends on the quality of the lyrics.
