    Does the line in bold mean "he can't pitch acrately?" Thanks.

    I know it sounds like this but it's spelled as above.

    That's probably what it means, yes, but did you hear this or read it. Perhaps you heard,

    But he has a terrible arm.

    Yes. He can't pitch accurately. To have terrible aim; to not be able to throw well enough to hit the target.

    Terrible aim is perfectly good English. (A native English speaker would know that.)

    Your eyes haven't deceived you. (Don't assume that being a native speaker makes one's assumption more accurate than your own observations. )
