    Default sales & merchandizer

I am so confused what the difference exactly on their duties when the people are entitled in a trading company as "sales" & "merchandizer". Could you tell me more?

    "sales" (sell) & "merchandizer" (buy).

I rarely disagree with Soup, but must on this one.

Merchandiser = promoter of something OR someone involved in buying and selling (a trader)

Thanks for Anglika's reply. Is a merchandizer also supposed to carry out the duties of a sales and higher than?

A merchandizer's business is to create the right atmosphere and situation for the salesmen to sell the goods to the public. They will need to be able to plan the sales campaigns and advertising, and build up the lists of customers to be targeted.

Can we say that the title of a merchandizer is higher than a sales? (I am not sure it is suitable to use the perposition 'of' here)

It will depend entirely on the structure of the company. Different companies use titles in different ways.
