    What do the phrasal verbs below mean?
    1) carry out
    2) come up with

    5) think about
    6) catch on
    7) get ahead
    8) catch up
    9) hang on
    10) put off
    11) take off
    12) cut back on
    13) get by
    14) get behind

    May I recommend you check them up in a dictionary(if none, an online one is also okay) first?

    Well, thanks for your advise. I tried, but I couldn't find anything! In fact I found some but it wasn't not easy to understand!

    It is very simply:

    carry out = 1. accomplish, bring to a conclusion as in:

    They carried out the mission successfully.

    2. put in practice or effect as in:

    We will carry out the new policy" or "Please carry out my instruction".

    come up with = produce, supply, also discover as in

    Henry always comes up with the wrong answer. or

    We are hoping they come up with cure in time to help Aunt Alice.

    and so on.....
