    Wink usage

    what is the sentence to be used in the condition of saying thanks to someone but they did not succeed on that, though they tried.

    need a professional answer.

    It would help a lot to know more about the context of this.

    Colloquially, you could say 'Thanks anyway' or 'Thanks for trying'. (As Anglika says, context would help.)
