    deep color

    Hi there.

brilliant - bright, shining or may be very deep color.

What is deep color? Does it mean very intensive, strong color? Can you give some examples?

    Thanks,

I'm not sure of the science, but I think the 'deep' applies to a colour lower down* the spectrum (but not so much lower as to be a different colour).

    Ultramarine (http://webexhibits.org/pigments/indi...ltramarine.jpg ) is a deeper blue than cerulean (http://webexhibits.org/pigments/indi...ruleanblue.jpg )

Carmine (http://webexhibits.org/pigments/indi...ch/carmine.jpg) is a deeper red than vermilion (http://webexhibits.org/pigments/indi.../vermilion.jpg ).

PS *or maybe higher up! I said the science was unclear to me
