    worth

    Hi there,

I dont know how to use 'worth'. Can you proofread the following sentences?

It is not worth to do part-time jobs when you are studying at university.

It is worth to study hard when you are studying at university.

    Pete

    Re: worth

    Hi Pete,
"Worth it" (used together) means that something has value even when you consider the time/effort/cost.

Both of your examples should have "worth it."
    It's not worth it to...
    It is worth it to...

(However, "study hard when you are studying at university" isn't very good style because of the repeating "study." You can say "work hard when you are studying" or "study hard when you are attending..")
