Default What does "fanging around" mean?

I saw an article and the subtitle is "Just fanging around."
    (related link : here)

"fang" means sharp tooth of animals. isn't it?
It's a noun. How come the editor use this word as -ing form??
and what did the editor intend from the subtitle?

It's a rather weak pun on "hanging around" - very typical of a newspaper. The reason for the pun if you look at the picture are the very obvious fangs in the skull.
