    Default Americans vs American people

I have seen people use the term "Americans" in order to express the idea" The plural noun, the human being living in America"- but I often see they use" American people" ,too. Do they express the same thing?

Default Re: Americans vs American people

They often can be used interchangeably, though in more formal or serious contexts, I would use 'American people'.
