HI native speakers,

I don't know when to use 'in the meeting' and 'at the meeting'.
For example,
1. The matters have been discussed at the meeting or in the meeting?
2. In the last meeting, I had a lot of arguments with Mary.
3. In the meeting, I had a lot of arguments with Mary.

many thanks

HI native speakers,

I don't know when to use 'in the meeting' and 'at the meeting'.
For example,
1. The matters have been discussed at the meeting or in the meeting? Either can be used
2. In the last meeting, I had a lot of arguments with Mary. ok - the arguments happened during the meeting - within the meeting
3. In the meeting, I had a lot of arguments with Mary. same

many thanks

pete

If you visualize the meeting as if it was a box, then events within the box = during the meeting >> are "in" the meeting.
