Default ESL for Hearing Impaired Student

    Hello! What a great site!

I have a problem and I'm hoping someone can help me.

I am teaching a family from Vietnam and there is a 17 year old boy who is partially deaf. He has a hearing aid, but it is a recent aquisition....SO..he seems to be shaky in Vietnamese and English is extremely difficult for him.

I have started some intensive speech therapy, the phonetic alphabet and a lot of writing. However, I really need advice and tips from someone who has encountered this or a similar situation.

    Help Help Help!!!

I've copied this to the Teaching English forum as you may pick up answers there.

Why don't you register so that you can be notified of replies?
