    Default difference between talk and speak

    hi,

    when we use the word talk and when do we use the word speak

    Generally speaking, we use speak for more formal situations and talk for less formal situations. (Talk is the more general term.)

    Generally speaking, speak is used specifically to refer to oral communications, while talk is used more broadly.
