    Which one of the sentences below is right:

    1-people crossed into the U.S.
    2-People crossed over into the U.S.
    3-People crossed the border into the U.S.

    1-people crossed into the U.S.
    2-People crossed over into the U.S.
    3-People crossed the border into the U.S.

    People crossed the border into the U.S. is the best choice. It conveys the clearest image of what is happening.
