    Question No-charge

I am looking for an adjective to describe a journal that demands no charge for publication. Can it be a "no-charge journal"? Is it a clear term? I think I haven't come across any standard term for this, but it doesn't mean there is no such.

    Thanks,

I have never come across a specific term for journals that do not charge for publishing articles, but that is probably because most of the ones I know pay the authors for their work.

A no-charge journal would be understood as costing nothing to access.

Thanks. The problem is very many science journals do charge for publication and are "free-access", the latter meaning what you have written. Maybe the context is what should be used to clarify the meaning, like with the common photo thing: "This is John's picture"?
