    Smile how/that/in which

On the way to work, I thought about the amazing ways how/that/in which life has changed with the rapid growth of globalization over the last couple of decades.

Which one of the underlined words fits best in the above context?
Besides, could I replace over with for? If not, why not? Thanks.

in first sentence u can use how life has changed, and in second sentence both over and for can be used, well both seems correct to me..but i think over suits best as you are talking about the change that occured steadily not rapidly and as far for is concerned it,s usually used for some specific time i guess! but lets see what other says about it

All three words work fine in this sentence; I tend towards "in which".

No, you can't replace "over" with "for". "Over a period of time" indicates an ongoing process through that period; "For a period of time" indicates an specific period of time.
