    Smile not a fun situation

Being alone and lost in a city is not a fun situation.

Could I say condition/case/occasion to replace situation without changing too much of its meaning? Thanks.

My instinct is no in this context. A situation is not the same as a condition, case or occasion. It is a combination of circumstances at a given moment.

A condition = a particular mode of being of a person or thing; existing state

A case = an instance of a particular situation or set of circumstances

An occasion = a particular event, or the time at which it takes place

I agree ....actually "not a fun situation" or simply "not fun" are common phrases in North America to describe circumstances where things are going or about to go very bad.
