    give me some hints on using the verb 'to speak'.

    In which context we should use speak with, speak to..

    Have you spoken to the staff about the changes? = Have you told them

    Have you spoken with the staff about their views on the changes? = Have you discussed the changes with them?

    I shall speak to the farmers.

    I shall speak with the farmers about their plans of cultivation.
