    Smile creep along in the darkness

    After the electricity went out, we had to creep along in the darkness looking for the flashlight.



    I doubt whether creep along in the above sample really means litterally creep along with all fours. I presume it refers to make our way along slowly, right? Thanks.

    It could have both meanings.
