to what extent should we expect everyone to speak a perfect standard english (the one english professors teach)? or should we learnd to appreciate multple english (slangs or ebonics)?
English is an organic entity which developes and grows daily. Slang (and I include ebonics here) is often transitory and goes in and out of use relatively rapidly. Dialects on the other hand, have a way of lingering longer. Embrace the dialects at least...dialects are real English!
